Fort Liberty Playland
, established in 2000, 7.5 acres
6869 Van Gorden Road (commonly misspelled Van Gordon)

Located on Van Gorden Road north of Michael A. Fox Highway, this 7.5 acre park is home to a child's dream come true. A state-of-the-art playground was built in 1999 with the help of Friends of Liberty Parks and Recreation (FLPR) and from community contributions. A large mowed area is great for Dad and the older kids to fly a kite, toss a ball, or fling a Frisbee. Ample parking is another plus for this park. Bring a lunch and let the children enjoy! New additions include the installation of a fence between the parking lot and play area, again through the support of Friends of Liberty Parks and Recreation. Also, a 10x30 brick paved patio and two flower beds have been recently added.

AMENITIES: playground, shelter, restrooms, bike path, picnic tables
