Amateur Radio Field DAy is an annual emergency communications drill designed to sharpen the operation skills of radio operators throughout the United States. There are approximately 2.8 million active Amateur Radio Operators worldwilde with 281 active operators in Liberty Township!
We strongly encourage our community it's officials, law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel to come out and attend, observe, and become involved in this event! |
A family use park on the east side of Yankee Road, north of Millikin Road. These 11.4 acres feature 7.5 acres of natural, mulched and bridged hiking trails in the woods around a recently cleaned (3,400 sq. ft.) pond. A large mowed lawn is perfect for kite flying and Frisbee tossing. Don't miss the mulched playground, featuring swings, a merry-go-round, a stegosaurus, and other playground equipment. Recent additions include a handicapped accessible drinking fountain, permanent charcoal grills, bluebird and wood duck boxes.
AMENITIES: playground, shelter, restrooms, hiking trails, picnic tables, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
