A new shared-use path will be installed along Cincinnati-Dayton Road as a result of the Township being awarded a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) grant from the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT). Earlier this month, Liberty Township was awarded a grant for $933,000 for a path which will be installed on the west side of Cincinnati-Dayton Road between Yankee Road and Liberty Way. Currently, there is a gap in connectivity through this corridor so the grant will help the Township provide a safe connection for pedestrians and cyclists. Design and engineering will begin next year with construction in 2023. The path is being funded entirely by ODOT’s HSIP grant. Liberty Township looks forward to working with ODOT to complete the project and improve the community’s walkability.
