Butler County Residential Recycling Programs

Electronic Recycling Drop Off
The Butler County Solid Waste District offers multiple days for residents to recycle computers, televisions, cell phones, VCRs, etc.
What: All computer and television systems
When: 2nd and 3rd Saturdays from April through September
Hours: 9am - 1pm
Where: Butler County Engineer's Office, 1921 Fairgrove Avenue; Hamilton, OH  45011
Limit: 5 computer systems and 2 televisions per household.
Freon Appliance Collection
Butler County provides residents with a curbside "on-demand" Freon Appliance recycling program at no charge.
What: Refrigerator, freezer, air conditioner or dehumidifier
When: April through September
Call: Unwanted Appliances at 1-888-886-9268 to schedule
Limit:  Two "like" appliances per household
Freon Appliances must be placed at the curb or on a driveway.  Freon technicians will remove the Freon from your appliances. 
Household Hazardous Dropp Off
Dispose of your hazardous items in a safe, environmentally acceptable manner.
What: Paint, automotive fluids, oil, pesticides, pool chemicals, long fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent bulbs, varnishes, lacquers, antifreeze, car and household batteries, and adhesives
When: Every Thursday from June through September
Hours: 2pm - 7pm
Where: Environmental Enterprices; 10163 Cincinnati Dayton Road; West Chester, OH  45069
