Zoning Hearing Signs

The Liberty Township Planning & Zoning Department places a zoning hearing notification sign (shown to the right) on each property that is subject to a zoning hearing approximately a week prior to the scheduled meeting as a courtesy to nearby residents and businesses. The sign indicates that the property is subject to a public hearing before either the Board of Zoning Appeals or the Zoning Commission. Please see the list of upcoming cases below to verify the request for the property in which the sign is located. Board of Zoning Appeals - September 11, 2018

  • BZA#18-018: Norton Outdoor Advertising, Inc. is requesting an Administrative Appeal under Section 3.7.1 of the Liberty Township Zoning Resolution regarding the status of a billboard on the property, which was modified without a Zoning Certificate. The subject property is located at 6583 Cincinnati Dayton Road, Parcel ID# D2010-014.000-022. 
  • BZA#18-021: Norton Outdoor Advertising, Inc. is requesting a Variance under Section 9.2.3(3) of the Liberty Township Zoning Resolution for an LED, electronic or digital reader board on an existing billboard and Variances under Sections 9.4.7(1), 9.4.7(3) and 9.4.7(5) to reduced setbacks from residential properties and street right-of-way and a Variance from Section 9.5.2 for the loss of legal nonconforming status. The subject property is located at 6583 Cincinnati Dayton Road, Parcel ID# D2010-014.000-022.
  • BZA#18-017: SpotOn Production, Ian Murray is requesting several Variances from various sections of the Liberty Township Zoning Resolution that include accessory structure setbacks, accessory structure square footage, off street parking areas and lot perimeter buffer requirements. The subject property is located at 6491 Cincinnati Dayton Road, Parcel ID# D2030-050.000-039.
  • BZA#18-019: Dennis Oldfield is requesting a Variance under Section 4.12.5(3) and Table 4.12-B of the Liberty Township Zoning Resolution to construct a 512 Sq. detached garage on the same property as an existing 452 Sq.Ft. above ground pool, which exceeds the maximum 576 Sq.Ft. of accessory structures that are allowed on a .4591 acre lot. The subject property is located at 7139 Millikin Road, Parcel ID# D2020-062.000-010.
  • BZA#18-020: Michael Bruton is requesting a Variance under Section 4.12.5(5)(b) for a fence to encroach into the front yard of the property on a corner lot. The subject property is located at 5974 Dantawood Lane, Parcel ID# D2020-276.000-061.
  • BZA#18-022: Hutsenpiller Contractors is requesting a Variance under Section 4.10.3 and Table 4.10-A of the Liberty Township Zoning Resolution to request approval for a reduced side yard building setback from a required 15 feet minimum setback to 3 feet from the property line. The subject property is located at 6070 Yankee Road, Parcel ID# D2020-062.000-020.
  • BZA#18-023: Christopher A. Dorn is requesting a Variance under Section 4.12.5(5)(b) for a fence to encroach into the front yard of the property on a corner lot. The subject property is located at 7972 Victory Garden Lane, Parcel ID# D2020-259.000-050.
  • BZA#18-024: Paul McAlpine is requesting a variance under Section 4.12.5(3) and Table 4.12 –B of the Liberty Township Zoning Resolution to construct a 5544 Sq.Ft. barn that exceeds the maximum 3500 Sq.Ft. of accessory structures that are allowed on 17.950 acre lot.
