2017-18 Yankee Road project

A major roadway improvement to Yankee Road between Dutchland Parkway and Princeton Road began in early July and is expected to wrap up in 2018. Work has been accelerated and the phases have been combined and compressed. A warmer than normal fall has been favorable for road construction. Remaining project phasing includes:

Phase 1: COMPLETE

Phase 2: STILL UNDERWAY
Yankee Road will be closed halfway between Wyandot Lane and Princeton Road for bridge replacement. Approximate length of closure is 1 month.
Phase 2 detour: Northbound Yankee Road traffic will detour north on Cincinnati-Dayton Road and west on Princeton Road to Yankee. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

Phase 3: UNDERWAY Yankee Road will be closed just south of Wyandot Lane for bridge widening. Approximate length of closure is 2 - 3 weeks.
Phase 3 detour: Northbound Yankee Road traffic will detour north on Cincinnati-Dayton Road and west on Princeton Road to Yankee. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

Construction will be suspended for the winter and will resume in spring 2018 beginning with Phase 4. All roads will be open through the winter months.

Phase 4: Wyandot Lane will be closed at Yankee Road intersection for improvements. Approximate length of closure is 45 days.
Phase 4 detour: There will be no access to Yankee Road from Wyandot Lane during this phase. Motorists will exit and enter the subdivision via Wyandot at Cincinnati-Dayton Road or by way of Stonehenge Boulevard.

Phase 5:
Widening of Yankee Road from Princeton Road to Dutchland Parkway. All roads will be open to local traffic only. Thru traffic will be rerouted.
Phase 5 detour: Northbound Yankee Road traffic will detour north on Cincinnati Dayton Road and west on Princeton Road to Yankee. Southbound traffic will reverse this route.

All work is tentatively scheduled for completion by mid-June 2018.
